Privacy policy
Last updated 4 October 2026
This is a draft under legal review. It is not in force yet.
Diwaween keeps the score of Kout Bo 6 for groups of friends, called Diwans, and lets them play online. This policy says what the app and this website keep about you, why, who else sees it, and for how long.
Who we are
Diwaween is run by [company name and address]. For anything about your data, write to [contact address].
What we keep
Your account
You sign in with Apple or Google. From them we receive an identifier for your account, your email address and whether it is verified, and your name, which becomes your display name until you change it. If you use Apple's Hide My Email, we receive the address Apple gives us instead of yours. With Apple, we also keep a token that lets us end the sign-in when you delete your account; it is stored encrypted.
Your profile
Your display name, the picture you choose from the ones built into the app, and the language you use. We do not take photos.
Your devices
For each phone signed in to your account: whether it runs iOS or Android, the device name the app reports, the version of the app, and when it was last used. We keep a fingerprint of the session, never the session itself, so it cannot be read back from our records. A session ends after 90 days without use, or when you sign out.
Your Diwans
The Diwans you create or join: their name, description and picture, their members and their roles, their invites, and the rules they play by.
Guests
Members can add people who play without the app, as guests, by name. Please ask them first. A guest can later take over their record by joining with a code from the Diwan.
Matches and statistics
The matches your Diwans record: who played, the bids, the rounds and the scores. For matches played online, every move is kept, so that a match can continue after an interruption and the Diwan's admins can review a disputed one. Your statistics, such as wins and bids, are worked out from these matches.
Requests made on this website
If you ask to delete your account on this website, we keep what you write in the form: your email address, how you sign in, your name in the app, and your message.
Technical records
- Our servers log the requests they receive, such as the address requested, the time and the result, to find and fix problems. [what the proxy's log records, and how long logs are kept: settled when the servers are set up]
- To stop abuse, such as guessing codes, we count requests from each internet address for a few minutes, in memory only.
- When something fails, a report goes to Sentry, our error-reporting service, with the identifier of the account involved and technical details. Reports never include sign-in tokens or invite codes.
What we do not do
- We show no ads and do not sell or rent your data.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not ask for your location, your contacts, or your photos.
- There is no betting or payment in Diwaween.
Who sees what
- The members of a Diwan see each other's display names and pictures, and the matches and statistics of that Diwan.
- Anyone who shares a Diwan with you can see your overall totals across all your Diwans, as numbers only, without the other Diwans or their matches.
- At an online table, the other players see your moves as the game shows them.
- Our staff can see what is described here, to run the service, answer requests, and help a Diwan whose match is stuck.
Services we use
These process data for us, only to provide the service:
- Hosting, where the service and its database run: [provider and country: settled when the servers are set up]
- Backup storage: [provider and country: settled when the servers are set up]
- Sentry, by Functional Software, Inc., in the United States, for error reports.
- Apple and Google, when you sign in with them, under their own privacy policies.
How long we keep it
- Your account and profile: until you delete your account.
- A signed-in device: until it signs out, or 90 days after it was last used.
- A deleted Diwan: 30 days, during which it can be restored, then it is removed.
- Invites: until 30 days after they expire or are cancelled.
- A request made on this website: 90 days after we handle it.
- Backups: each is kept for up to two months.
- Error reports: [Sentry's retention for our plan]
Deleting your account
In the app, open your profile and choose Delete account; it happens at once. If you cannot use the app, ask us here.
Deleting your account removes your account, your sign-in, your devices and your place in your Diwans. A Diwan you are the only member of is deleted with it; if you own a Diwan with other members, you hand it to one of them first. The matches you played stay in your Diwans' records so that the other players' scores still add up, but your name and picture are removed from them and nobody can link them to you again. Copies in our backups are gone within two months.
Your rights
You can see and change your display name and picture in the app at any time, and delete your account. To ask for a copy of what we keep about you, or for anything else about your data, write to us at [contact address]. Changes
When this policy changes, we will publish the new version here, with the date it changed.
